so i’ve recently been looking at some gadge (ugh does underthorne not sound so much better) and considering that i ship everthorne (but ugh sometimes i think gale deserves more), mathorne (“gale” just doesn’t fit well in ship portmanteaus), and now underthorne… i just have a lot of feelings about gale i don’t care who he’s with as long as he’s happy ♥_♥ it makes me cry thinking about how many people hate him, my poor bb

but i still can’t stand how katniss “falls in love” with peeta i’m sorry i just can’t

“But suddenly I am thinking of Gale and his forty-two names in that big glass ball and how odds are not in his favor. And maybe he’s thinking the same thing about me because his face darkens and he turns away. “But there are still thousands of slips,” I wish I could whisper to him.”

On Gale and the issue of Prim’s death

hazzeh:

So, a while back I made a post about Gale and why I don’t understand all the hate the THG fandom generally gives him. I made this post not to convert everybody who read it into a Gale lover, but rather to show him in a different light than they may have read him as throughout the series. Largely, I’d say it went over well, but there were still some people who commented how despite all of the good things Gale has done, they still hate him and cannot forgive him for killing Prim.

This assumption that Gale killed Prim is an entirely wrong way of reading Mockingjay, and moreover, I believe, is the exact opposite of what Suzanne Collins wanted her readers to take away from Prim’s death and the ending of Mockingjay.
